Youth Connections

Sofia Fahs Camp: Sophia Fahs Religious Education Camp creates an intergenerational UU community that provides enjoyable, practical, and spiritual experiences in a safe, beautiful and natural environment that will inspire children, youth and adults to explore their identities: personal, communal and Unitarian Universalist. Campers worship, deepen spirituality, and build community, while having an amazing, fun filled week, and making lasting friendships.

The camp, located at Camp Echo in Burlingham, NY (about 3 hours from Bridgehampton), features swimming pools, tennis courts, ropes adventure course, woodworking, pottery, archery, golf, deck hockey, and a lake for swimming & boating.  Children and youth from grades 3-12 are invited to serve as campers for one week in August.  www.liacuu.org

Star Island:  Enjoy rugged living seven miles off the coast of New Hampshire/Maine. Historic Oceanic Hotel hosts UU conferences during the summer.  Summer programs are diverse and include spirituality, world affairs, arts, ecology or just be a chance to unwind from life’s stresses.  www.starisland.org

UU College of Social Justice:  Is a collaboration between the UU Association and the UU Service Committee.  The mission is to inspire and sustain faith-based action for social justice through experiential learning.  Programs include volunteer opportunities, summer internships, workshops and immersion learning journeys.  www.uucsj.org
